Let's talk body language...
First, what is body language?
According to Wikipedia:
"Body language is a type of a nonverbal communication in which physical behaviors, as opposed to words, are used to express or convey the information. Such behavior includes facial expressions, body posture, gestures, eye movement, touch and the use of space...
...Although body language is an important part of communication, most of it happens without conscious awareness...."
Do you think any of this is important for your branding portraits?
There is only one answer and that is YES.
I for one, tell all my clients, that I will NOT shoot one of the most famous powerposes, the crossed arms in front of the chest pose.
The experts are split over, if the crossed arms are a sign of strength and power, or if it makes you look closed off.
I tend to think it makes you look tens, standoffish and not very approachable.
So you need to think about how do you want a viewer, a potential new client, to see you.
We only have about 3 seconds to catch somebody's attention while they scroll the internet and those 3 seconds are your moment to make the best first impression you can.
Your branding images are as important as the impression you will make in person.
You want to appear confident, approachable and authentic.
If you are unsure about your body language in front of the camera, trust that I will help you get the most confident and authentic images to help tell your branding story.
